The hotel has a great location (in a small village) and a short walk from the seaside. A good choice instead of busy Aberdeen. Very friendly staff, lovely food and so tidy and clean. Fabulous place to stay!!
Very comfortable, staff extremely helpful and friendly, food excellent with an excellent choice for breakfast, beautiful location
Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The room was clean, comfortable and had suitable facilities for working. I will certainly book again when next in the area.
Staff were very friendly. Rooms are recently refurbished and very clean. A pleasant stay. The food was good too!
Shower lacked power. I personally do not like showers in a bath! The stay was slightly spoiled (not the fault of the hotel) by a local idiot who started shouting and calling me names because I couldn't give him a cigarette (I don't smoke)! You find people like that everywhere!
The quality of the hotel, food and staff was excellent.
the friendly welcome on arrival was lovely after a long days drive the room was warm and very comfortable and despite building work and improvments going on in the room next door our peace was not disturbed at all it was a great over night stop and a place we will return too.
the foreign waitress was a little abrupt not quite rude but if you were easily offended she comes across as rather stern but very professional.
Very comfortable room, warm, and a very nice bathroom.
the staff were fantastic and the food great too
Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, with helpful staff and good food.
The staff were very friendly, the rooms generous in size, the food in the restaurant was good.
Friendly staff. Good service. A nice and comfortable hotel, nicely situated for walks along the coast.
The welcome, the informality, friendliness. Very comfortable and good breakfast.
Excellent welcome, very comfortable room, spotless and great firm beds.Food first class -good variety especially catch of the day and in hearty portions. a very comfortable hotel in a great village setting with the history of slains castle, bram stoker(stayed at hotel) of dracula fame and the legacy of the former railway golf course and hotel. if you like john buchan and his adventure stories this is where you should stay!
I had a large modern room that was both clean and comfortable. The food was also excellent and they have a great range of malt whisky.
At a reasonable cost you get a welcoming hotel with friendly staff, good location and decent food..
